Renovation of a maisonette apartment. North Schwabing – Munich.

The maisonette extends over the top two floors, 4th and 5th floors. The customer wanted a living environment with more daylight and at the same time a reduction in the street noise audible from the nearby Middle Ring.

The basic idea of the concept was to create a more open, brighter ambience with a new division of the living space and the replacement of all windows with new elements and to make optimal use of the available space. All renovation work was carried out in line with this basic idea: new oak parquet was laid in the entire living area. An additional window to the south transformed the dark guest room into a friendly living / sleeping area. The bathroom on the top floor has been completely renovated. A new lighting concept, high-quality details and design objects add value to the rooms. This creates a light and harmonious overall impression in the whole apartment. A static test and the insertion of a new steel beam were necessary to integrate the new window.

Completion: end of 2017.
