Renovation of a maisonette apartment. North Schwabing – Munich.

The maisonette extends over the top two levels, 4th and 5th floors. The customer wanted a living environment with more daylight and at the same time a reduction in the street noise audible from the nearby Middle Ring.

The concept was to create a more open, brighter ambiance with a new division of the living space and the replacement of all windows with new elements and to make optimal use of the available space. All renovation work was carried out in line with this purpose.

An additional window to the south transformed the dark guest room into a friendly living/sleeping area, and a new oak parquet was laid in the entire living area. The bathroom on the top floor has been completely renovated. A new lighting concept, high-quality details, and design objects add value to the rooms. About the structure, the insertion of a new steel beam was necessary to support the new window.

Information apartment: Location: Nordschwabing, Munich – Upper floor: 4 – 5 – Area (GFA): 123 sqm

Ambiance: living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, terrace, attic, stairs. Every environment was subject to intervention.
